Thermal Wire and Cable, LLC offers a line of magnesium oxide insulated metallic sheathed cables in sizes: 2 (single), 4 (duplex) or 6 wire (triplex) configurations. Common calibrations include : J, K, T, E.

Sheath materials available include : Stainless steel 304, 310, 316 or Inconel 600. Thermocouple MI cable contain high purity and quality magnesium oxide (MGO) and it is highly compacted to prevent powdering and reduce moisture absorption. Special connectors required. MI cable is not flexible, but is a stationary tube. May not be available in long continuous lengths. Please inquire as to the maximum length requirement. Extreme High Temperature Thermocouple Cable
Borosilicate glass is a combination of silica, alumina and magnesia. This cable is available in J, K, N, E etc calibrations. The insulation is manufactured in continuous filaments. The filaments, as drawn, are approximately 0.00036 inches in diameter. As a result, many hundreds of the filaments are grouped to form the yarn used in braiding insulation on wire.

The filaments are smooth noncellular, inorganic, noncombustible and do not expand or contract with moisture changes. Typical applications include: aluminum industry, extension wire in the manufacture of carbon billets, steel industry and heat treating.

High Temperature Thermocouple Wire
Kapton provides a radiation resistant, small diameter, lightweight and high temperature thermocouple wire insulation and jacket. Kapton insulation is wrapped and fused together to form a homogenous wall.

Typical applications include aerospace, power generation, cryogenic applications and applications that require a high temperature and radiation resistant cable required to perform over a wide temperature range – 400°F (-241°C) to +500°F (+260°C).
